Basketballghana.com can report American Power Forward/ Center of Ghanaian descent Selom Mawugbe has featured for the sixth time in the 2021 NBA Gatorade League Season.

Mawugbe’s Santa Cruz Warriors beat Salt Lake City 116-111 in its latest outing in the league and the 6 foot 10 inch defender delivered eight points, a steal, and assists and nine rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)

In the win, Mawugbe had a perfect shooting performance scoring all four field goal attempts but attempted no free throw and no three point shot.

The former Pacific Azusa University player who went undrafted in the 2020 NBA draft, is averaging 3.3, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and two blocks in 20.5 minutes. He has attempted just 2.5 field goals while converting 1.3 of those attempts.

Despite not making it to the NBA Draft, the athletic Mawugbe got picked 21st in the second round of the G League Draft in 2020. In his first year, he averaged 5.3 points and 4.4 rebounds.
