Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul side has been drawn in Group L of the 2021 FIBA Europe Cup Second Round.
The draw was conducted on the back of the conclusion of games in the first round that ended recently; Bahcesehir topped Group E in the first round by winning all six games.
In the second round, Bahacesehir will compete against Avtodor Saratov from Russia, London Lions from England and Bakken Bears from Denmark in Group L. Competition commences on December 8.
The top two teams at the end of six round of games qualify to compete at the quarterfinals in the second tier competition organized by Europe’s continental basketball body. The Basketball Champions League is the top tier continental competition in Europe.
Bentil starred in Bahcesehir’s final group game win by registering 24 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block in 26 minutes. Bahcesehir beat Dutch side ZZ Leiden 84-61.
Two time Greek League Champion Bentil played in three games in the first round and averaged 16 points and 5.3 rebounds.
