Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Amida Brimah has signed for Belgian top flight basketball league side Filou Oostende and is set to join the team at the end of this month.
Brimah recently competed in the Finals of the BSN League in Puerto Rico where he played a starring role to lead Mets de Guaynabo to its first finals since 1993. Mets lost 2-4 in the Finals series to Capitanes Arecibo.
Oostende also competes in the FIBA Basketball Champions League and leads the 10 team Belgian League standings with 10 wins in 10 games.
By joining Oostende, Brimah makes a return to Europe in his professional career; the 6 foot 10 inch defender played briefly for Serbian side Partizan Belgrade in the 2017-2018 season.
Brimah averaged 9.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 14.9 minutes across 10 games; Amida won the NBA Gatorade League (G League) title with Austin Spurs in the same season.
The former University of Connecticut player has experience in the NBA with Indiana Pacers.
