Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian Center/Power Forward Nathan Mensah has narrowly missed out recording his first double double of the 2021-2022 US Men’s College Basketball Regular Season.
Mensah started at Center in San Diego State University’s 65-63 win over Arizona State University in a game that ended earlier this morning.
6 foot 10 inch Mensah registered 10 points, nine rebounds, an assist, a block and a turnover in 30 minutes. Mensah delivered a pretty efficient performance as he converted three of five field goals and scored his sole three point shot attempt. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
The fourth year player scored one of two free throws in a game played against Arizona State’s Canadian Center of Ghanaian descent Enoch Boakye. The first year player made a two minute cameo and recorded a defensive rebound.
San Diego State has two wins and a loss in three games played this season and the team is scheduled to play against University of Texas-Arlington on Saturday, November 20.
Mensah is averaging 12 points, nine rebounds and an assist in 26 minutes this season.
