Basketballghana.com can confirm Belgian Basketball League side Filou Oostende has officially announced the signing of Ghanaian Center Amida Brimah to its roster.
The announcement was made recently as Brimah competed in the BSN Playoffs Finals Series against Capitanes Arecibo in Puerto Rico’s top flight basketball league.
Despite a sterling effort from Brimah, Mets lost the series 2-4 after making the finals for the first time since 1993. Brimah averaged 12.5 points, series leading five blocks and 8.7 rebounds in six games. (Click highlighted text to watch read story)
Like Mets, Brimah walks into a Center needy team and should benefit from the former Indiana Pacers man’s athletic defensive plays and rebounding.
Amida joined Mets midway through the season and revived a fading 2021 campaign into a historic one that got Guaynabo into the finals for the first time in 28 years.
Oostende leads the Belgian league with nine wins in nine games with Brimah set to replace Brandon McCoy who is out for the season with a knee injury.
Brimah is scheduled to join the team later this month.
