Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Center Amida Brimah has missed out on winning the second league title in his professional basketball career.
Brimah’s Mets de Guaynabo lost 68-88 to Capitanes Arecibo in Game 6 of the BSN Playoff Finals in Purto Rico’s top flight basketball league. Arecibo clinched the series (4-2) in the best of seven games series.
The 6 foot 10 inch defender bagged the 2018 NBA Gatorade League title with Austin Spurs after graduating from University of Connecticut.
He joined Mets midway through this season and helped turn around the team leading Guaynabo to its first Finals appearance since 1993.
In Game 6, Brimah registered 11 points, eight rebounds and six blocks while turning the ball over three times in 35:18 minutes. Tony Bishop led Guaynabo with 15 points.
Arecibo Guard Walter Hodge Jnr. led the game with 27 points and won the Finals Most Valuable Player Award. This Hodge’s second MVP title in 2021 after winning the MVP Award in the inaugural edition of the Basketball Africa League.
Basketballghana.com gathers Brimah has signed to play for Belgian League side Oostende.
