Police (white) v Reformers in Game 3 of the 2021 Finals

Greater Accra Regional Basketball Association Chairman Ayitey Bulley, who doubles as Chairman of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) has a positive take on the just ended 2021 ABL Season.

In an interview Ghana’s biggest basketball portal, Basketballghana.com, Chairman Bulley stated the league managed to “put something good together”.

Reformers won the Men’s Division I title while Ghana Police Service won the Women’s Division title for the third title in a row. TUSK Foundation topped the Men’s Division II title.

In response to a question about his opinion on the season that concluded this past weekend, the veteran Administrator stated:

“This year we started late but we managed to put something together and it looks like it was well patronized, participation was quite good, we are looking forward to next year where we will play a full league. We are hoping that next year we will have the sponsors come on board to ensure that the games that we play are fully funded.”

Vaccination of players against the COVID 19 virus forced the league to start and adopt a tournament-esque format.
