Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Center/Power Forward Emmanuel Dowuona started for Tennessee State University Men’s Basketball Team in an exhibition game ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 US Men’s College Basketball season.
6 foot 10 inch Dowuona started at Center and registered four points, three rebounds and a block in 12 minutes as Tennessee State beat Treveca Nazarene 76-55.
Dowuona scored two of five field goal attempts and didn’t attempt a three point shot or a free throw in the game. The remaining members of the starting unit scored in double figures.
After transferring from Purdue University this offseason due to a lack of game time, fans got to see Dowuona play for Tennessee State. 4102 fans watched the exhibition game.
Heading into his third year/ Juniour year, Dowuona is expected to fully showcase the talent he exhibited at the High School level that he never got the chance to show during a frustrating stay at Purdue.
He is the older brother of North Carolina State University Forward Ebenezer Dowuona.
