Ghana Center/Power Forward Nathan Mensah was in fine form for San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team in an exhibition game this past weekend.
The 6 foot 10 inch player starred in the Aztecs 65-44 win over St. Katherine University in a home game with fans in attendance for the first time in a year due to the COVID 19 pandemic. 10,464 fans attended the game.
Mensah delivered 14 points, 11 rebounds and two steals in 15 minutes as a starter; he scored six of nine field goal attempts and attempted no three point shot. He scored both free throws to end the contest as one of only two San Diego State players to score in double figures.
The 2021-2022 season is Mensah’s fourth year in the San Diego Men’s Basketball program and a huge year could see him get serious attention in the 2022 NBA Draft.
However, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Mensah like all Seniors are eligible to return to College for an extra year after graduating.
