Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Center Amida Brimah was one of the few better performers for Mets de Guaynabo in Game One of the best of seven games series in the 2021 BSN Playoff Finals in Puerto Rico’s top flight.
Guaynabo lost 68-95 to Capitanes Arecibo on Sunday, November 7 in the opening game of the 2021 Final with Brimah registering another double-double in the playoffs.
The former University of Connecticut big man registered 13 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in 26:56 minutes as a starter. He was one of only three Guaynabo players to score in double figures.
Brimah grabbed four rebounds on the offensive side and led the category as did the blocks category while scoring five of eight field goal attempts.
One of his highlight plays was finishing off an alley oop pass with a dunk in the second quarter as Guaynabo trailed 23-30. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)
Game 2 is scheduled to take place tonight; this is Guaynabo’s first appearance in the Finals since 1993 and Brimah’s performances have been a major reason behind the brilliant run despite arriving midway in the season.
