Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Forward Kobby Ayetey made his debut for Bowie State University in the opening game of the 2021-2022 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Basketball Season.

Ayetey joined Bowie State after graduating from North Carolina Central University; he joined the team as a Graduate Student.

Bowie State lost 67-88 to Howard University to open the new season with Ayetey playing 20 minutes and registering four points, a steal, a block and five blocks off the bench.

The 6 foot 6 inch player who can play the Small Forward and Power Forward positions had a poor shooting performance as he converted only two of eight field goal attempts and failed to score on all three shot attempts from three point range.

He missed his sole free throw attempt in the game but proved handy in the rebounding game as he grabbed three of his five rebounds on the offensive end.

Joshua Cornish led all players with 15 points with Kyree Freeman-Davis the only other Bowie State player to score in double figures.

Bowies State plays Marquette University next.
