After just 2:33 minutes played in the second quarter of the matchup between TUSK Foundation and Ghana Navy, the game was called off due to absence of lighting at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
The game was scheduled to be played out earlier today and went on as planned but after struggling to find the manager of the facility to power the lights on the court in the fast fading daylight, officials decided to postpone the game to a yet to be determined date.
Match Report
Gustav Asiedu scored a three pointer to open the quarter and Ebenezer Dowuona Nortey added two more points. Fayad Muslim, Lantey Tawiah and Ashietey Ollenu got Navy up 8-5 with 4:22 minutes left in the first quarter.
The game’s lead switched several times; TUSK got points from Henry Horlali and a three pointer from Reginald Atta-Kesson while Navy had Richard Donor score a jumper and Muslim bully his way to score off an offensive rebound. Tusk led 16-15 at the end of the first quarter.
Samuel Abekah put Navy by two and Donor extended it by connecting on a three point play. Navy led 23-18 with 7:33 minutes remaining but the game had to be stopped due to poor visibility at the venue.
