Defending Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Champions Braves of Customs have lost the opening game of the three game playoff final series against Reformers of Prisons.

In a far from good performance last night in Ghana’s capital, Customs find themselves in a situation they are quite familiar with and are well equipped to turnaround.
The 2019 League Finals started in the same manner as this year’s with Braves losing 57-65 in Game One to Adenta Leopards at the Lebanon House but recorded two straight wins to clinch the title.
In the 2021 Reformers, Braves face the same obstacle as Prisons boast an athletic group of players including James Amotoe, Kingsley Whyte, Abraham Allotey, Nana Kwame Adjei and Gabriel Ashaley that made life tough for Customs in the opening game.
Prisons have a good mix of experience too in Point Guard Ibrahim Babuso; the veteran heavy Braves would need to dig deep again to tip the odds back in their favour to see out the three game series and clinch yet another league title.
