Members of Team Van-Ess have won executive positions at the 2021 Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) Elections held earlier today at the Accra Sports Stadium Media Center.
Team Leader Ato Van-Ess beat Dr. Andre Kwasi-Kumah to win the Association’s Presidential seat replacing David Addo-Ashong as President in the process.
The Owner of Eff-Ess Basketball Club in the Western Regional Basketball Association (WBA) League beat Dr. Kwasi-Kumah by 14 to 3 votes. Van-Ess is the former Chairman of the WBA.
Alex Kukula, Auroa Commodore-Toppar and Iddrisu Ayambire contest various positions in the Association on the ticket of Team Van-Ess and won their individual races.
Kukula beat Kwame Ofosu Agyekum by 13 votes to 4 to win the Vice President (Administration and Finance) while Commodore-Toppar beat Seth Okine by 14 votes to 3 to win the Treasurer seat.
Ayambire beat Christopher Luguterah by 13 votes to 4 to win the Vice President (Technical and Developmental Programmes) seat.
The brief event had representatives from the Ghana Olympic Committee and National Sports Authority present to witness proceedings.
