Basketballghana.com can confirm Mets de Guaynabo Club has signed for NBA Guard Ty Lawson to its roster following his split from Greek side Kolossus recently. (Click highlighted text to view confirmation)

This comes in the midst of Mets tense BSN playoff series against Leones de Ponce in the Puerto Rican top flight basketball league.

Mets lead Leones 3-2 ahead of tonight’s Game 6 with Mets needing a win to progress to the next stage of the postseason.

It remains unclear if Lawson would be cleared to play a part in this season’s playoffs or remain on the roster for the next season. Star Point Guard David Stockton is nursing a hamstring injury.

Brimah-Lopez

However, Ghana Center Amida Brimah is cleared to play in tonight’s game after serving his one game suspension.

Former Indiana Pacers defender Brimah was involved in a physical altercation with Yao Lopez in Game 4 and got hit with the suspension subsequently. He was also fined and missed Game 5 where Mets lost 67-105. (Click highlighted text to watch incident)

Brimah’s presence is needed to boost Guaynabo’s chances of qualification; he is averaging 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in four games.
