Ghana Center Amida Brimah was in action for Mets De Guaynabo in the BSN League playoffs in Puerto Rico this past weekend and helped his team take a 3-1 series lead against Leones de Ponce.
Brimah registered four points, three blocks, five rebounds and an assist in 28:39 minutes as Mets beat de Ponce 96-90; Guaynabo continues to play without star Point Guard David Stockton who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Guaynabo needs a win heading to Game 5 on Tuesday, October 18, to ensure progress to the next stage of the playoffs that is due to conclude in November.
6 foot 10 inch defender Brimah starred in Game 3 where he led all players in scoring with 18 points in an 81-67 win for Mets; Brimah added seven rebounds, two steals and a block in the win.
Amida joined Mets during the BSN’s All Star break after his stint with Indiana Pacers in the NBA and has developed into a key component for Mets.
