Dr. Kwasi-Kumah

Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) Presidential Hopeful Dr. Andre Kwasi-Kumah has clearly defined the motivation behind his decision to run for the Presidential seat at the Association.

The elections are slated to take place on Saturday, October 30 at the Accra Sports Stadium Media Center in Accra. Three other positions are also expected to be contested for in the elections.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com, the Kaneshie Swanlakers Basketball Team Owner pointed out the above mentioned challenge motivated not just him but the other members of his team.

“What motivated us as a team is the fact that we want to build a very vibrant basketball culture in Ghana. We see people playing basketball a lot but we realized that it is not really feeding into a culture that the players can benefit from, teams can benefit from or even the country can benefit from so there was something lacking in the leadership and organization of basketball in the country so that motivated us that we can do something about this so why don’t we come together and get involved. So that was our push factor and motivating factor into this” he said.
