Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian International Small Forward Reggie Agbeko has made a very good first impression for new team Zornotza.
In the opening game of the 2021-2022 Regular Season, the 6 foot 6 inch player led his team to a 93-66 win over Gijon in the Spanish Lower Division.
Agbeko produced 19 points, four rebounds, an assist and a block in 26 minutes as a starter in the win; he led all players on his team in points.
He converted eight of 10 two point shot attempts and converted three of four free throw attempts in the contest but attempted no three point shot.
Agbeko was acquired by Zornotza in the immediate past offseason after stints with Albacete and Villarobledo. Zornotza is aiming to return to the playoffs after exiting in the postseason at the semifinal stage.
Unai Mendicote and Quarry Greenaway led Gijon in scoring with 21 points apiece but had very little in the landslide loss. Gijon plays Ponferrada on Saturday, October 16 while Zornotza take on Clavijo a day after.
