Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian-Italian International David Cournooh starred for Vanoli Cremona in the Italian Basketball League’s latest round of fixtures.
Cremona beat Fortitudo Bologna 94-78 to record its first win in the 2021-2022 Regular Season after falling 71-88 to Reyer in the Cremona derby in the previous game.
Veteran Guard Cournooh delivered the best performance for Cremona by registering 18 points, four assists and five rebounds in 28 minutes as the starting Small Forward in a small ball lineup.
Cournooh deadly from the field as he converted eight of 10 shots and added more points to his tally by scoring two of three attempts from the free throw line. He missed two three point shot attempts.
A major highlight play from the 31 year old was a breakaway dunk in the fourth quarter after collecting a pass to score and extend Cremona’s lead to 77-58. (Click highlighted text to watch video)
Cremona plays Trento on Saturday, October 9 next. Two games into his second season at Cremona, Cournooh is averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 26.5 minutes.
