Ghanaian Small Forward Ben Bentil was in fine form in his debut game for new side Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul in the Turkish Basketball League.
Bentil emerged as the top scorer in Koleji’s 86-77 win over Besiktas with 21 points and added seven rebounds, four assists and a steal in 27 minutes. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)
Bentil started the game and produced an efficient performance by converting five of eight two point shot attempts and scored all five free throw attempts. He scored two of a trio of three point shots in the winning outing.
Two of his converted field goal shots came via dunks including a one handed slam and a two handed jam on a fast break. He assisted a highlight dunk late in the game.
Jordan Bone of Besiktas tied Bentil’s scoring output but the latter had more support from his teammates en route to secure the 11 point win.
Bahcesehir ranks third in the 16 team league standings heading to its matchup against Pinar Karsiyaka on Sunday, October 3.
