Panthers used a fine run in the second half to clinch a second straight win over Kaneshie SwanLakers in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II.
The game took place earlier today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra as one of two fixtures honoured at the league venue. Panthers won the matchup via a 76-59 result.

Jefta Vanderpuije got points for Swanlakers first. Panthers scored points off turnovers on fast breaks to lead 13-3 with under three minutes to play with Papa Akuffo-Appenteng getting a couple of points off fast breaks.
Davy Webber drained a jumper to end Kaneshie’s scoring drought. The quarter ended with Swanlakers trailing 9-18.
Webber stole the ball from Kofi Attafuah and scored a layup to punctuate a personal 4-0 run. David Maja scored one of two free throws and a layup for Panthers.
Webber blocked Attafuah’s layup attempt. Michael Smith assisted Kobby Asante to score on the inside to reduce Swanlakers deficit to six (15-21) with 3:48 left to play in the first half.
Daniel Danso got his first points in the game in a 4-0 run to increase Panthers lead to 10. Stanley Johnson scored and assisted Bright Assin’s shot for Kaneshie. John Mensah scored a jump shot to end the half with Kaneshie trailing 23-29.
Kwame Attafuah completed a three point play and Mensah scored six points to reduce Swanlakers to 32-34. Danso and Maja scored and blocked a shot in a 9-0 run to put Panthers up 43-32 with 5:07 left.
Kwame Attafuah scored off a beautiful drive and assisted Maja for extra points to give Panthers a 58-37 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Webber scored off a nifty crossover amid a strong individual run in a highlight moment of the quarter. Panthers got points across board with the likes of Kwadwo Attafuah getting in on the scoring to close the game.
