Ghana Navy Men’s Basketball Team has clinched another impressive win in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II Regular Season.

Navy beat Turbo Jets 61-40 earlier today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra on the back of a strong three point shot performance in the third quarter.

Match Report

Richard Donor scored a three point shot for the game’s first points and Turbo Jets responded immediately with a layup while Muslim Fayad banged his way through the paint to score for Navy.

Jets Amos Agbodo’s shot sandwiched a Donor jumper and Ashietey Ollenu’s fast break layup. Navy led 11-4 at the end of the first quarter.

Ollenu scored six points in a 13-0 Navy run early in the second quarter with Richard Tetteh hitting a three pointer. Rafik Alhassan ended Jet’s scoring drought but Navy Christopher Adjei hit a deep shot. Alhassan scored the first half’s final shot as Jets trailed 10-28.

Navy hit a trio of three pointers to extend Navy’s lead (41-14) with 4:43 minutes left in the third quarter. Joel Patrick scored a pair of jumpers and Jets went on a 4-0 run to close out the quarter down 22-50.

Turbo Jets opened the final quarter on a 5-2 run but Navy scored late to win the game 61-40.
