Brimah challenges shot in NBA Summer League game against Wizards

After scoring in double figures in three straight games, Ghana Center Amida Brimah cooled off in Mets De Guaynabo’s latest game in Puerto Rico’s BSN League.

Despite registering nine points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 32 minutes as the starting Center, Brimah helped Guaynabo clinch its third win in a row via an 89-86 win over Piratas. (Click highlighted text to watch game)

6 foot 10 defender Brimah converted just three of eight shot attempts and converted three of six free throw attempts missing out on a double double again in the process.

One of Brimah’s two blocks came late in the game with the game tied at 86 as Amida denied Terrell Holloway’s shot attempt in the lead up to the win.

Since Brimah’s signing midseason, Guaynabo has won three of four league games thus far with the former Indiana Pacers man averaging 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 27:34 minutes.

Prior to the game against Piratas, Mets beat Cangrejeros 94-90 and topped Grises 105-102 with Brimah registering 18 points, nine rebounds and an assist in 25 minutes against Cangrejeros.
