Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center/Power Forward Emmanuel Dowuona will wear a different number from the number fans are used to seeing the 6 foot 10 inch player in over the years.
Dowuona will wear jersey number 23 for Tennessee State University after transferring from Purdue University this off season. He spent two seasons at Purdue but had a hard time getting game time action.
During his time at Purdue, Dowuona wore the jersey number 4 after redshirting his first year and playing few minutes in his redshirt freshman or first year in College.
He would be hoping the change in jersey number would reflect in a change in his production for the better that could lead to a path to professional basketball after College.
Tennessee State University made the headlines after highly sought after Point Guard/Shooting Guard Hercy Miller committed to play for the Tigers. Miller is the son of Hip Hop mogul Master P.
Dowuona is the older brother of North Carolina State University Forward Ebenezer Dowuona.
