Basketballghana.com gathers Gbawe Basketball Academy Vipers has picked up its debut win in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II Regular Season.
Gbawe shocked one of the better performers in Group A, Kaneshie SwanLakers, by beating Kaneshie 33-30 in one of three games played in the Division.
After losing all four games played in the first round, Gbawe got its second round campaign off to a glorious start with the win. The team has a win in five outings officially.
On the other hand, Swanlakers have lost three games in a row after falling to Tudu Galaxy twice and losing to 41-50 to Panthers. Kaneshie fell 52-72 to Galaxy in the first round and the repeat fixture had Tudu earn a hard fought 60-55 win.
In other games played on Tuesday, September 14 at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra, University of Ghana beat TUSK Foundation 56-46 and Ghana Navy beat Adenta Wolves 68-61.
Three games are scheduled to be honoured today in Division I and the Women’s Division.
