Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian-Italian International Guard David Cournooh has scored eight points in Vanoli Cremona’s latest outing in the Italian Basketball League Super Cup.
Cournooh registered eight points, five assists, one rebound and a steal in 28 minutes as a starter in Cremona’s 78-86 loss to Varese in the competition.
Veteran Guard Cournooh converted four six field goal attempts but missed all three point shots he attempted in the contest; he attempted a trio of such shots.
The loss means Cremona has just a win in four games in the competition whereas Varese scored its first win in three outings in the tournament.
Tres Tinkle and Matteo Spagnolo led Vanoli with 13 points apiece and Tinkle added seven rebounds to his tally in 26 minutes. Both players started the game.
Jalen Jones of Varese led all players with 19 points and five rebounds; Cremona ranks bottom of the three team Group B standings. Sassari leads the group with three wins in as many games.
