Basketballghana.com can confirm Tudu Galaxy Basketball Club has extended its winning streak in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II Regular Season.
This comes on the back of Galaxy clinching its fifth win in a row thanks to a gutsy 60-55 win over Kaneshie SwanLakers in league games played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra on Thursday, September 9.
The contest was one of three honoured at the league venue; Ghana Navy spanked Accra Flames 96-31 and TUSK Foundation breezed past Basketball School Academy 80-44.
Heading to the game, Galaxy led Group A in the Division ahead of SwanLakers, Panthers, Gbawe Vipers and DUNK with eight points from winning four games in the first round of the league.
Kaneshie Guard Abban’s completed three point play put his team up 49-45 with 4:52 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter but execution from the free throw line got Galaxy back in the lead and the Tudu based team held on to clinch its fifth win of the season.
Winners of the three groups will battle in the postseason to determine the division’s winner.
