Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Small Forward Ben Bentil has described his two year stay at Panathinaikos Basketball Club as a “good experience”.
He made this description about his run at one of Greece’s most popular and successful clubs in an interview with EuroHoops during preseason training.
Bentil moved from Panathinaikos to Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul this offseason after helping Panathinaikos win two Greek League titles and the 2020-2021 Greek Basketball Cup.
Speaking in the interview he said, “Playing there-Panathinaikos- was a good experience for me. It has been my home for two years. I had good memories there with all my friends. I also learnt a lot about European basketball”
Prior to his move to Panathinaikos, Bentil played a season at fellow Greek side Peristeri and had his first taste of the Europe’s premier continental competition-the EuroLeague during his time at Panathinaikos.
He also acknowledged Panathainikos’ famous fans by saying, “I played the first year in front of the fans…they have a great feeling, a great passion.”
Bentil has played for clubs in Spain and France too in his professional career.
