Ivorian international Center and former Accra Technical University (ATU) standout Romeo Enan has expressed his disappointment over Ivory Coast’s loss to Tunisia in the final game of the 2021 FIBA AfroBasket.

Ivory Coast lost 75-78 to Tunisia in the final of the just ended AfroBasket held at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda. Tunisia won its second AfroBasket title in a row.

Speaking exclusively to Ghana’s biggest basketball portal, the 6 foot 10 inch 2015 Tertiary Player of the Year Award Winner at the Ghana Basketball Awards stated:

“Really happy about the performance of my country at the just ended AfroBasket. They were really good throughout the competition it’s rather unfortunate that we lost the final against a very experienced Tunisian team. We just have to correct our mistakes and prepare for the upcoming tournament.”

Enan represented Ivory Coast in 2017 during the AfroCan- a tournament eligible exclusively to players plying their trade on the African continent.

Before moving to Egypt, Enan starred in the Accra Basketball League and won multiple league titles with Braves of Customs.
