Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Italian international Guard David Cournooh will maintain his jersey number for the 2021-2022 Italian Serie A Basketball League season.
The 31 year old veteran Shooting Guard wore Jersey number 25 last season which was his first run with Vanoli Cremona after transferring from Virtus Bologna.
Ahead of the new season, Cremona officially announced its roster and assigned jersey numbers to the roster members. 11 players are on the team’s roster officially.
At the time of writing, Forward Malcolm Miller has been signed to the team after competing in the NBA Summer League with Toronto Raptors.
Small Forward Daulton Hommes recently got signed to a Two Way contract with New Orleans Pelicans; 25 year old Hommes played with Cournooh last season.
Cournooh averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.7 minutes across 25 games in the Italian Serie A in his debut campaign for Cremona.
He represented Italy’s Senior Team in the 2006 Mediterranean Games held in Turkey; his parents are from Ghana. He won the Basketball Champions League with Bologna in the 2018-2019 season.
