2021 FIBA African Nations Basketball Championship (AfroBasket) Host nation Rwanda has delivered another win for its fans to cheer about in the ongoing tournament.

In its second game, Rwanda scored a win by beating 11 time African champions Angola 71-68 at the Kigali Arena after bagging an 82-68 win over DR Congo in the previous game.

On the other hand, the loss is the second for Angola following its 71-77 defeat to Cape Verde; this puts enormous pressure on Angola to win its final Group A game against DR Congo.

Veteran Guard Carlos Morais has a poor performance as he converted one of seven three point shot attempts with two rebounds and no assists in 22 minutes as the starting Guard.

Fellow veteran Eduardo Mingas added 11 points and two rebounds; Rwanda has booked its place in the next stage with a strong chance to make the quarterfinals thanks to the win.

Defending champion Tunisia has booked its place in the quarters from Group B after beating fellow North African nation 87-81.

Tunisia’s veteran duo Michael Roll (25 points, five rebounds) and Salah Mejri (17 points, eight rebounds) led the way.
