Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Navy Basketball Team has clinched another win in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II.
Navy bagged an 84-32 win over Accra Flames in a game played out earlier today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra. The tie was the first of three scheduled games at the venue.
Basketball School Academy (BSA) couldn’t honour its tie against TUSK Foundation due to the team’s participation in an international competition that forced the team to forfeit today’s game. TUSK ends up with a 20-0 win.
On the court however, Ghana Navy proved too strong for Flames in hot temperatures in Ghana’s capital city with Flames having little in response.
Navy went on a 6-0 scoring run to close the quarter with Ashitey Ollenu scoring four points in the run. Navy led 63-21 At the end of the third quarter.
Navy scored a trio of three pointers to open the fourth quarter. Richard Donor bagged a pair of three pointers. Flames Tony Tabi scoring a layup on a drive and Ebenezer Essel got extra points for Flames on a fastbreak.
Navy’s Obuobisa scored on the inside after gathering an offensive rebound to put Navy up 82-30 with 1:50 Left to play. Eric Gedjah scored the game’s final points to give Navy an 84-32 win.
