Basketballghana.com can confirm the roster for Nigeria’s National Men’s Basketball Team to compete at the 2021 FIBA AfroBasket has been named.
The list of players was named a few minutes ago by Head Coach Mike Brown; this year’s AfroBasket runs from August 24 to September 5 in Kigali, Rwanda.
Nigeria is in Group B with Mali, Ivory Coast and Kenya and head to the tournament as silver medalist from the 2017 edition. Nigeria is coming off a disappointing run at the Tokyo Olympics where the team lost all three games at the group stage.
Four players from the Total Nigerian Basketball League have been called up to the roster to compete in Rwanda in a new look team that has been named following a brief training camp in Oakland, USA.
Nigeria is due to arrive in Kigali on Sunday, August 22 and plays its first game on August 25 against Mali. Below is the full confirmed list:
