Renovation work going on at the Prisons Court

The playing surface has been deemed slippery by players for multiple seasons and caused a ton of problems for players to maintain their balance during games.

The slippery nature of the court also posed injury threats to players and by improving the quality of the surface aids in avoiding injuries to players.

Ghana’s leading basketball portal can confirm the ABL Board funded the renovation of the court and players will play on an improved court with very visible markings.

The Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra will serve as the league venue for the 2021 season until other league venues including the Lebanon House Court in Tudu are added according to the ABL Board.

Four games have been lined up this week in the league across the Men’s Division, Men’s Division I and Women’s Division. The standout tie is a matchup between Ghana Police Service and Reformers of Prisons on Wednesday, August 18 at 16:30 GMT.
