Center Amida Brimah has played in two of three Indiana Pacers games in the 2021 NBA Summer League Tournament but in both games, the 6 foot 10 inch defender has barely cracked the double digit mark in game time.

The 27 year old Ghanaian played 11 minutes in an 86-94 loss to New York Knicks and attempted no shot in the contest while registering two rebounds and a blocked shot.

In an 83-84 loss to Atlanta Hawks, Brimah played 10:04 minutes and produced three points, an assists and three rebounds while attempting one field goal shot.

Pacers third game against Portland Trailblazers had the former University of Connecticut player not featured; Tony East, who covers the Pacers, reported Indiana’s Summer League Coach Mike Weinar gave Brimah a “rest day”.

Amida has since posted two messages on his Twitter page that seem to suggest his unhappiness about the situation. He posted, “Being a professional Athlete is not for the weak minded” after posting “P A T I E N CE” earlier. (Click highlighted text to view tweet)
