Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Amida Brimah has missed Indiana Pacers latest outing in the 2021 NBA Summer League tournament.
The tournament is taking place in Las Vegas and has all 30 NBA teams competing; the preseason competition is slated to end on August 17.
Pacers beat Portland Trailblazers 97-64 to clinch its first win after losing 86-94 to New York Knicks in its opening game in the Tournament.
Brimah didn’t feature in the win over Portland with Journalist Tony East reporting Amida and Power Forward O’Shae Brissett were given a “rest day” by Pacers Summer League Coach Mike Weinar.
In the loss to New York, 6 foot 10 inch defender Brimah started the contest and registered two rebounds and a blocked shot in 11 minutes while attempting no shot.
Brimah also featured in Indiana’s 83-84 loss to Atlanta Hawks with Amida registering three points, three rebounds and an assist in 10 minutes as a starter. He converted his sole shot attempt in the game.
Former University of Connecticut player Brimah is on a Two Way contract and is aiming for an expanded role for the Pacers for the upcoming NBA season.
