Gbawe (yellow) v DUNK

DUNK Invaders Basketball Club Coach Simon Wilson has stated his team experienced a big problem despite walking away with its second win in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season.

Invaders beat Gbawe Basketball Academy 45-41 but got a really big scare from Vipers who threatened to wipe out DUNK’s big 26-11 first half lead.

Asked in an exclusive interview by Basketballghana.com after the win on the reason for his team’s close win, Wilson stated; (Click highlighted text to watch full interview)

“There was a big problem because we were giving too many turnovers that made the opponent to come up but then I think we need to work on the ball because it got to a time the ball was a bit slippery” he said.

The win was DUNK’s second in the ongoing regular season after bagging a 49-44 win over Kaneshie Swanlakers following a 45-52 loss to Panthers.

DUNK struggled in the second half to deal with Gbawe’s taller roster especially in the paint. DUNK plays Galaxy on August 19 at the same venue.
