Amida dunks ball in an Intercontinetal Cup game

Ghana Center Amida Brimah is one of seven players with connections to San Antonio Spurs competing in the 2021 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

This year’s Summer League runs from August 8 to August 17 with all 30 NBA teams competing in the preseason tournament; each team is scheduled to play five games.

6 foot 10 inch defender Amida is on Indiana Pacers roster after signing a Two Way contract with Rick Carlisle’s team in the latter part of the 2020-2021 season.

Brimah played for Spurs affiliate team in the NBA Gatorade League-Austin Spurs for two seasons and won the 2018 G League title with them.

Pacers are due to play Portland Trailblazers early on Friday, August 13 with Brimah expected to play against former NBA players Michael Beasley and Kenneth Faried who are on Portland’s Summer League.

Quinddary Weatherspoon, Chimezie Metu, London Perrantes, Khyri Thomas, Ben Moore and Daulton Hommes are players with Spurs connection competing in the Summer League.
