Rwanda’s National Men’s Basketball Team will commence its run of friendly/exhibition games later tonight in Senegal’s capital, Dakar.
Cheikh Sarr’s men take on Egypt and Guinea in the first leg of friendly games before taking on Egypt in a double header to close out the run.
This exercise forms part of Rwanda’s preparation for the 2021 FIBA African Basketball Championship (AfroBasket) Rwanda is due to host at the Kigali Arena from August 24 to September 5.
Rwanda plays a select team from Senegal at 16:00 GMT before taking on Guinea today and follows it up with a matchup against Senegal on Wednesday, August 11 at 18:30 GMT.
Guinea’s main team plays Rwanda on Thursday, August 12 at 16:00 GMT to round up the mini competition. The final 12 man team is to be named from the 17 man team.
Rwanda has been drawn in Group A with DR Congo, Cape Verde and 11 time AfroBasket Champions Angola. Tunisia is the defending champion.
