Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Navy Basketball Club has picked up an impressive win over Ghana Airforce Jets in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Division II Regular Season.
Navy topped Airforce via a 65-44 result today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra in the first of three games in the division. TUSK Foundation won its contest against Juniour Reformers via forfeiture from the latter.
Guard Isaac Ollenu drained a three pointer to put Navy up 40-25 with 5:05 minutes remaining in the third quarter. Richard Tetteh added a jumper to increase Navy’s lead and Navy got a late three pointer to end the quarter after both teams exchanged blocked shots; Navy ended the third quarter with a 46-32 lead.
Jets’ Sullemla Abdul scored five points to open the final quarter but Ollenu ended Navy’s run with a layup. Manasseh Morkli assisted Emmanuel Sarkoh’s easy basket as Airforce trailed 42-53 with 3:03 minutes remaining.
Fayad Muslim completed a three point play for Navy. Yaw Afrifa completed a three point play and Muslim scored late to end the game.
