Basketballghana.com can confirm the 2021 NBA Summer League game between Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards has been postponed due to COVID 19.
Ghana Center Amida Brimah is on Indiana’s roster to compete in the preseason tournament that runs from August 8 to August 17 in Las Vegas.
The matchup was scheduled to tip off at 12:00 AM Monday, August 9 but was called off due to Wizards inability to field enough players as a result of having several players in contact tracing.
Pacers are scheduled to play Atlanta Hawks on August 10, Portland Trailblazers on August 12 and Oklahoma City Thunder on August 14 with an extra game against a yet to be determined opponent respectively.
Wizards are scheduled to play Sacramento Kings on August 11 days after competing in the California Classic which is another preseason tournament before the Summer League.
Brimah has sounded off on his preparation for the competition as he battles to retain his spot on Indiana’s roster for the 2021-2022 NBA season. The 6 foot 10 inch Center became the first Ghana born player to score in the NBA when he converted a shot against Portland Trailblazers last season. (Click highlighted text to view story)
