Basketballghana.com can report Zamalek Center and Basketball Africa League (BAL) standout Anas Mahmoud has featured for Toronto Raptors in the 2021 NBA Summer League.
The 7 foot inch defender was named Defensive Player at the BAL after helping the Egyptian side clinch the maiden edition of the NBA-FIBA AFRICA competition.
BAL officially communicated recently of Mahmoud’s inclusion in Raptors roster for this year’s Summer League in Las Vegas. The tournament runs from August 8 to August 17 with all 30 NBA teams competing.
Mahmoud scored two points and gathered two rebounds in 8:40 minutes off the bench in Raptors 89-79 win over New York Knicks.
The Egyptian player converted his sole shot attempt in the game with a simple two handed dunk in the fourth quarter with 7:44 minutes left to play. (Click highlighted text to watch video)
BAL President Amadou Fall and BAL Ambassador Masai Ujiri were present at the game; Ujiri doubles as Vice Chairman and Team President of the Raptors.
