This year’s Summer League runs from August 8 to August 17 in Las Vegas with all 30 NBA teams competing in the preseason tournament.

Mahmoud is heading to Toronto after a wonderful run in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) where he registered 7.6 points, 4.8 assists, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 2.3 steals in six games.

The 26 year old 7 foot tall Center was named Defensive Player of the Year at the inaugural edition of the BAL that took place earlier this year in Kigali, Rwanda.

His efforts helped Egyptian side Zamalek clinch the BAL title thanks to a 76-63 win over Tunisian side US Monastir. Angolan side Petro do Luanda placed third ahead of Rwandan side Patriots.

After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft following his graduation from University of Louisville, Egypt international Mahmoud signed for Zamalek in 2018.
