Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian-American Center/Power Forward Selom Mawugbe has competed in a pair of games for Golden State Warriors ahead of the team’s participation in this year’s NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Mawugbe played against Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings in the California Classic Tournament on August 3 and 4 as he prepares to play in the Summer League for the first time.

The 6 foot 10 inch player registered five points, four rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in 22:50 minutes as the starting Center in an 87-94 loss to Miami Heat.

23 year old Mawugbe performed better in an 89-82 win over Sacramento where he produced four points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 23 minutes as a starter. (Click highlighted text to watch video)

This year’s NBA Summer League runs from August 8 to 17; Warriors announced its roster on Monday, August 2 and included Mawugbe who played in the NBA Gatorade League last season with Santa Cruz Warriors-Golden State’s affiliate side in the league. (Click highlighted text to view story)
