Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Canadian highly rated Center Enoch Boakye has committed to play for Arizona State University Men’s Basketball Team.
The 6 foot 10 inch five star prospect per 247sports in the Class of 2022 was ranked the 22nd best player in the class and expected to play College basketball after the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season.
However, Boakye has decided to reclassify and make himself eligible for the 2021 class and has proceeded to accept Arizona State’s athletic-scholarship offer.
Boakye weighs 240 and has a body ready to play college basketball right away; he picked Arizona ahead of offers from Oklahoma State University, University of Maryland, University of Illinois among others.
The Brampton born player initially committed to play for University of Michigan but decommitted in February this year; the 18 year old has a 7 foot 4 inch wingspan.
Boakye represented Canada at the FIBA Americas Championship Under 16 competition held in Brazil in 2019 and played six games where he averaged 8.8 points and 10.8 rebounds in 22.7 minutes.
