Fire (Red) v Warriors in ABL

Basketballghana.com can report COVID 19 prevention protocols are to be strictly observed during the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Season.

This information was communicated by the ABL Board recently after announcing the tentative start date for the 2021 ABL Season that is July 27.

Both statements were released in the aftermath of a stakeholders meeting held this past weekend at the Lebanon House in Tudu. Despite completing a vaccination program, the league insists protocols are to be respected and adhered to.

Such protocols include fans and players (who aren’t in action) at match venues wearing nose masks and players who haven’t been vaccinated to produce a negative test three days prior to a game.

By respecting such protocols, the health safety of all involved in the league won’t be compromised even if the league season would be shorter than usual following the delayed start.

As a result, a new format has been adopted to see out the season as early as possible.
