Following a stakeholders meeting held at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu on Saturday, July 17, a shorter regular season and post season schedule was agreed for the competing teams.
10 teams will compete in the ABL Men’s Division I and the Women’s Division and the respective divisions is to be split into two groups with each group containing five teams.
Home and away results determines teams that progress to the playoffs with each team competing against only teams in the same group. Group winners and first runner ups move to the postseason.
Group winners play runner ups from opposite groups in a single knockout game with the winners progressing to compete in a three game series.
15 teams in the Men’s Division II are to be split in three groups with five teams in each group and home and away results determine group winners. The trio of group winners plays each other in a series of games to determine the division champion.
