Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s deal with new club Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul is pegged at two years.
This is according to Bentil’s Agency Octagon Basketball with the news coming in the aftermath of the former Dallas Mavericks player’s exit from Panathinaikos in Greece.
After spending two years at Panathinaikos and a year at Peristeri, the 6 foot 8 inch Small Forward/ Power Forward brought his stay in the country to an end this offseason by signing for Bahacesehir.
He won two League titles and the Greek Cup at Panathinaikos while featuring in the EuroLeague in both years and was mainly used as a scoring plug off the bench.
The 26 year old Sekondi-Takoradi native is familiar with changing locations in his professional career as he has played for clubs in China, Spain and France.
Bentil is the first Ghana born player to get drafted into the NBA and play in the NBA; he joins the Istanbul side that finished in 10th place last season.
