Basketballghana.com can confirm Nigeria’s National Men’s Basketball Team (D’Tigers) will compete against Argentina in a friendly/ exhibition game tonight.

The contest tips off at 20:30 GMT or 9:30 PM Nigerian Time with the contest being the second friendly outing for both teams as they prepare to compete at the Tokyo Games Basketball event that commences on July 25.

Nigeria heads into the game on the back of a major 90-87 win over defending World and Olympics Champions USA this past weekend.

The West Africa made history as the first African nation to beat USA thanks to converting 20 three point shots with Miami Heat Guard Gabe Vincent leading the game with 21 points.

Mills in action for Australia

Argentina on the other hand, lost a close 84-87 game to Australia with veteran Guard Patty Mills scoring the game winning shot in the exhibition game.

In the wake of the shock win over USA, Nigeria is expected to have a deep run in Tokyo; D’Tigers are in Group B with Australia, Germany and Italy.
