The 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Season is likely not have a full blown regular season according to ABL Director Alex Kukula.
He made this statement in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com during the League’s recently organized COVID 19 Vaccination program held at the Lebanon House in Tudu, Accra.
Due to the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, a full on regular season for the ABL would be difficult to play out since a significant part of a “normal” season has already been wiped out by delays to the season.
Speaking to Ghana’s biggest basketball portal, the veteran administrator stated, “With the time constraints, it’s difficult to have a full blown season. We are looking at various scenarios where we could have at least everybody playing a bit part in it then we will have out end of season playoffs…hopefully next year we start very early and have a full blown season.” (Click highlighted text to watch full interview)
Teams will compete in the ABL Men’s Division I, Division II and Women’s Divisions respectively.
